I love dragons.

In fact, dragons are popular in a wide range of cultures including European, Jewish, Persian, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian. Dragons are depicted a bit differently in each of these cultures, and are attached to different mythologies and legends. However,

Dragon jewelry is always a big favorite. Because dragons are long and sinuous, they work very well as bracelets and anklets. In addition, gems look natural when inserted into the dragon's claws or mouth.

I like silver dragon jewelry most. Sterling silver is best but they are more expensive. Try to buy silver jewelry that do not contain too much copper as they will easily tarnish and lose their shine.

Jade dragon jewelry is also popular. Jade is primarily made up of nephrite and jadeite. Nephrite comes in a variety of green colors while jadeite can be blue, mauve, pink, and emerald green.

That is why most jade jewelry are green in color. More recently, red jade (mauve) has also become quite fashionable.

I love dragon kimonos. Most of them are silk and feature awesome dragon designs at the back.

I usually get the black kimonos, but they come in a variety of colors including red, blue, purple, green, and gold. Being kimonos, most of the dragon designs feature Chinese/eastern style dragons.

Eastern style dragons are more serpentine then their western counterparts. Their bodies are thin, and long, they have five claws and no wings.

European style dragons have larger less snake-like bodies, four claws, and large wings.

There are many t-shirts that come with European style dragons.

There are many great looking dragon figurines. Some of them even come in pairs and can be used as bookends.

Dragon figurines give an office or study an air of ancient wisdom.

In addition to its decorative function, the dragon is also a powerful symbol in feng shui.

A green dragon, for example, is used to channel positive energy to areas of health. A golden dragon, on the other hand, is good for wealth and abundance. However, do not go overboard with placing too many dragons in a single location. Feng Shui experts recommend a maximum of 5 dragons in a home. Dragons should be placed in high energy areas (larger living spaces) and not in small or dark rooms such as closets, bathrooms, and the garage.

From a design and home decoration standpoint, make sure that the color and style of the dragon figurines match the theme and tone of your room. Place the figurine in an open space where it will draw the eye of friends and guests.

Dragon amulets are also nice to have. They can be worn as pendants on a necklace, or they can be carried as a good luck charm.

I usually carry my dragon charm in a pouch, in my handbag. The dragon amulet reminds me to stay strong and confident during stressful interviews, presentations, and meetings.

Even if you just slightly believe in feng shui, there is no harm in carrying a dragon amulet with you to channel all the positive energy that you can get.
